About After School And Summer Program Activities

Learn To:

•    use computers
•    navigate the Internet and use the Interactive features of the web
•    design web pages
•    create and edit digital photographs
•    interpret digital maps and air photographs
•    gain knowledge about environmental problems in your community
•    develop a community geographic information system (GIS)
•    analyze geographic information
•    visit offices and agencies where GIS is used daily

Enrollment Criteria

•    9-12 student grade in good academic standing
•    GPA of 3.0 or above recommended or recommendation from school advisor or math, science, or technology instructor
•    Interest in learning about science and technology, the environment and geographic information systems
•    Interest in working in a computer and science lab setting

Program Meeting times:

After School - Monday – Thursday 3:30-5:00pm, October – December and February through May
Summer – Monday – Friday, 1:00 – 5:00 pm July and August
